Nicholas Hajjar- Class of 1999

 

Nicholas Hajjar excelled in both football and basketballwhile a student-athlete at Norwell High School. Nicholas was instrumental in helping the Clippers win two Superbowl Championships.

 

In 1997, Nicholas returned a punt for 65-yards to secure a Superbowl victory and in 1998, he served as team captain and quarterback during the Clipper’s undefeated season, culminating with another Superbowl victory. Nicholas set several records while a member of the Clipper football team, including highest pass completion (85%) and most kick-off returns for a touchdown. Nicholas achieved many honors during his senior season, including being named a three-time WATD Player of the Week, a member of the Patriot Ledger All-scholastic team and the quarterback of the Boston Globe Eastern Massachusetts All-star team.

 

As a four-year starter on the Clipper Basketball team, Nicholas also left his mark. During his senior year, Nicholas served as a team captain and led the Clippers to a league championship and #1 seed in the state tournament. Nicholas scored 1,029 points during his NHS career and set records for most steals in a career (420) and most assists in a career (672). In 1999, he was named a Patriot Ledger All-scholastic point guard, as well as an All-League point guard. Nicholas was also awarded the WATD South Shore League Athlete of the Year Award for his accomplishments in football & basketball.

 

After graduating from Norwell High School in 1999, Nicholas played football at Stonehill College. Unfortunately, knee surgery during his sophomore year ended Nicholas’spromising collegiate career.  Nicholas currently lives in Charlestown, MA and work in sales for an IT consulting firm.
